(ANS – Odxel) – 18 December is International Migrants Day and, on this occasion, Don Bosco for Migrants (DB4M) celebrated a Day dedicated to Internal Migrant Workers in India, focusing on those who find themselves in greater difficulty.

(ANS – Rome) – Today, 18 December 2024, marks the 165th anniversary of the Salesian Congregation. On the evening of 18 December1859, at the Oratory of St Francis de Sales, in Don Bosco's room, in fact, some of those living there gathered "with the sole purpose of preserving and promoting the spirit of true charity needed for the work of the Oratories on behalf of neglected young people at risk"; so wrote Fr Vittorio Alasonatti, in the minutes of that meeting.

(ANS – Rome) – Fr. Stefano Martoglio, Vicar of the Rector Major, during the 2024-2025 winter plenary session of the General Council, with the consent of his Council, has appointed Fr. Rubén Darío Jaramillo Duque as the Provincial of the “San Pietro Claver” Province of Colombia-Bogotá (COB).
