(ANS – Oświęcim) – The premiere of the Living Crib 2025, which in Polish is called Jasełka, took place on the stage of the Salesian Theatre in Oświęcim on Monday 6 January 2025, the Solemnity of the Epiphany. This performance, which has been staged in the theatre for over 40 years, has become one of the highlights of the calendar in the parish of Mary Help of Christians in Oświęcim, in the Saint Hyacinth Province of Krakow, Poland (PLS). In this year's edition, the Christmas tradition was enriched by a deep spiritual message and numerous references to Polish cultural heritage.
(ANS – Rome) – Issue 81, relating to the January-June 2023 semester, of “Ricerche Storiche Salesiane” (RSS), the biannual journal of religious and civil history, published by the Salesian Historical Institute (ISS), has been published. As usual, its pages contain investigations and insights of great interest to all those who share the charism of Don Bosco.
(ANS – Celbridge) – For Saint John Bosco, young people and their journey of salvation were always central. He was called Father and Teacher of youth because of his dedication to young people and his commitment to help them become “Good Christians and Honest Citizens”. That is where we can find the connection between Don Bosco, founder of the Salesians, and Fr Franciszek Blachnicki, founder of the Light-Life Youth Movement (also known as OASIS), with its aim of helping young people on their journey to “Christian maturity” through formation.
