01. Rome, Italy – June 2024 – The traditional Feast of Thanksgiving was celebrated for Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, 10th Successor of Don Bosco, Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation. on Monday 24 June at the Salesian community of San Callisto.
02. Rome, Italy – 4 June 2024 – The new premises of the Salesian General Postulation were blessed and opened by Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime in the Zeffirino Namuncurá community. Several members of the General Council were present; Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, Postulator General; Msgr. Maurizio Tagliaferri, from the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints, Fr Sergio La Pegna, Official of the same Dicastery; Mother Chiara Cazzuola, Mother General of the FMA; Mother Graziella Beghini, Mother General of the SOSC.
03. Rome, Italy – June 2024 - The Formation and Orientation Course for newly appointed Provincials and Superiors of Vice-Provinces concluded on 21 June at Salesian Headquarters. The participants had the opportunity to have several moments of conversation and discussion with the Rector Major and his Council, receiving valuable ideas from them for their mission.
04. San Salvatore Monferrato, Italy – June 2024 - Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major, on 30 June presided over a programme of activities in memory of Salesian Father Carlo Evasio Cavalli, a native of the town of Monferrato, who was the spiritual father of Artemides Zatti, culminating in the dedication of the Via Crucis to the Saint at the Madonna del Pozzo Shrine.
05. Mumbai, India – June 2024 – On 13 June 25 participants, including Delegates for Social Communication and young people, gathered for a four-day Salesian BOSCOM Social Communication meeting entitled "Voicing out through Mojo". The edition of "Voices 2024" for South Asia aims to give participants the skills and competences of mobile journalism.
06. Ayagualo, El Salvador – June 2024 - International Meeting of the Central American Region School Commission (CERCA) on the theme "Salesian Identity and Global Educational Pact". For three days, from 27 to 29 June, leaders, academic coordinators, teachers from works in Central America of the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) and the Sisters of the Divine Saviour (SDS), met under the guidance of the CERCA Commission of El Salvador.
07. Naples, Italy – June 2024 - The Youth Festival of the Salesian Youth Movement in the Salesian Province of Southern Italy (IME) came back in style on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June under the motto "Everyone in your dream". The event was attended by about 400 young people from Campania, Basilicata, Puglia, Calabria, Albania and Kosovo.
08. Rome, Italy – June 2024 – The Italian National Salesian Symphony Orchestra (OSS) made its debut on 2 June at the St John Bosco Basilica in Rome. Made up of 32 orchestral instruments, led by Maestro Giuseppe Lo Presti, the orchestra played a varied programme of 10 pieces, two of which were dedicated to Don Bosco.
