02. Estoril, Portugal - August 2023 - On 2 August, "SYM DAY" (the Day of the Salesian Youth Movement) was celebrated, with the participation of over 9,000 young people, more than 500 volunteers, staff, animators, lay people of the Salesian Family, SDB and FMA. The Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, and Mother Chiara Cazzuola, Superior General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA) were present.

04. Lisbon, Portugal - August 2023 - On 4 August, a Press Conference was held for journalists from the Salesian communication arena, in the presence of the Rector Major of the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB), Fr Ángel Fernández Artime; Mother General of the FMA, Mother Chiara Cazzuola. The Youth Pastoral General Councillors of SDB and FMA, Fr Miguel Angel García Morcuende and Sr Runita Galve Borja were also present.

06. Lisbon, Portugal - August 2023 - In the early afternoon of 1 August, the young people of the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) from Portugal, made their debut in the animation of WYD2023, through a parade through the streets of central Lisbon. A group of 14 students from the "Musicentro" (School of Music) of the Salesians in Lisbon performed, spreading a festive and cheerful atmosphere and generating general enthusiasm.

08. Estoril, Portugal - 2 August 2023 - Puppets depicting Don Bosco, Mary Help of Christians and Mother Mazzarello, animated by some young people, brightened up the 'SYM DAY'. They walked among the public, talked and interacted with the participants and with the Rector Major. Thus, they helped to make the Salesian charism even more alive and active at the event.
