01. New Delhi, India - July 2023 - An innovative project of the Sector for Social Communication in Rome, "VOICES: Giving voice to the voiceless" was inaugurated on 12th July in New Delhi (INN), in the presence of Fr Davis Maniparamben - Provincial of INN, AJ Philip - journalist, Fr Harris Pakkam - Director of ANS, Provincial Delegates of Social Communication and the young people from each of Provinces of South Asia.
02. Melbourne, Australia - July 2023 - To mark the centenary of the Salesian presence in Australia, a first-class relic of Don Bosco began its pilgrimage to Salesian presences in the country on 4th July. It is contained in an urn with a glass casket housing a life-size wax statue replicating the saint's features.
03. Baku, Azerbaijan - July 2023 - From 8th to 11th July, the Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, visited Azerbaijan. On 9th July, Cardinal Parolin unveiled a statue of John Paul II and took part in a fraternal meeting organized by the Apostolic Prefect in Azerbaijan, the Salesian Bishop Vladimir Fekete.
04. Niterói, Brazil - July 2023 - On 14th July, Fr Natale Vitali, Provincial of the Salesian Province of Brazil-Belo Horizonte, presided over the Eucharistic celebration in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians, to mark the 140th anniversary of the arrival of the first Salesians on Brazilian soil, and of the foundation of the Salesian Institute "Santa Rosa", the Salesian Mother House in Brazil.
05. Viedma, Argentina - July 2023 - From 28th to 30th July, a new National Pastoral Meeting of Health Care personnel was held in Viedma, the land where Saint Artemis Zatti lived and worked. During the opening Mass, Rt.Rev. Esteban Laxague, SDB, Bishop of Viedma, highlighted the history of the church, the school of St Francis de Sales and the 'San José' hospital, of which Zatti was Director and which has come to bear his name since 1975.
06. Kigali, Rwanda - July 2023 - On 11 July, the Superior of the Africa Great Lakes Vice Province (AGL), Fr Pierre Célestin Ngoboka, and Jean Michel Swalens, the representative of the Belgian Embassy in Rwanda, inaugurated a new and modern building that will enhance and improve the educational ambiance at the "Don Bosco Muhazi" Vocational Training Centre.
07. El Houssoum, Lebanon - July 2023 - Within the framework of the "Lebanon Project", which involves the Provinces of Spain-Mary Help of Christians (SMX) and the "Adolescent Jesus" Province of the Middle East (MOR), the School for the Formation of Animators was organized at the Salesian house of El Houssoum (Jbeil), to benefit the young volunteer - animators and the young Iraqis housed in the Salesian houses of Syria and Lebanon.
08. Ragusa, Italy - July 2023 - The valedictory evening of 22nd July marked the end of the 2023 edition of the Grest (Summer Camp) of the Salesians of Ragusa, with the participation of around 1,000 participants. The valedictory evening brought together young people, animators, educators, and families who enjoyed an evening of joy, fraternity and Salesian spirit.
