(ANS - Santiago) - Representatives from different Provinces of the American continent participated in the accompanying meeting of the Salesian Bulletin in America, which was held in digital mode last Wednesday, June 2. The main objective of the meeting was to present the progress and actions carried out since the previous meeting, held in October 2020.

Zaida Navarrete, Coordinator of the Communication Delegates team for the Americas, opened the meeting with a few words of welcome, then gave the floor to Fr Ricardo Cámpoli, who from the Salesian Headquarters in Rome led a moment of prayer in which he emphasized the figure of Christ as the center of all actions and work to be done.

Afterward, the Provinces presented the progress made. Fr Juan Pablo Abreu and Francisco Alberto, for the Antilles Province, presented the renewal of their editorial board, the formation of a photography team, the incorporation of podcasts and communication strategies aimed at young people on social networks such as Instagram.

Marcia Peña, from Ecuador, highlighted the connection and participation of the Salesian Family in the work being done, along with the process of returning to the printed magazine.

Ana Cosenza reported that in Brazil, video interviews, articles written by young people, material aimed at adolescents, and new formats for publication in the digital Salesian Bulletin have been produced.

Juan José Chiappetti shared the material produced during Holy Week as an example of Argentina's Salesian Bulletin strategies, highlighting the youth content and format when interacting with the public.

Finally, Karina Velarde and Joaquin Castro showed some of the progress made in Chile through the use of mailings, a comic book series, the interactive magazine, and podcasts.

Once the presentations were over, there was a moment of reflection on the channels used, the use of messages, the globalization of information and Salesian identity in the modern context.

Finally, Santiago Valdemoros and Ezequiel Herrero, both editors of the Salesian Bulletin of Argentina, held a training session on the ideas and criteria to be considered in the creation of material, inviting the representatives of the editorial offices of the various bulletins to take into account the plurality of the audience, its respect and "to consider that our message is only one of many that they are receiving."

The meeting was attended by 30 representatives of the 14 Salesian Bulletins on the continent. The meeting was organized and coordinated by the team of the Salesian Bulletin of Chile.
