Asunción, Paraguay – 1905 – In 1905 a chapel was built in Asunción, on the corner of Don Bosco and Humaitá, which has since become a centre for spreading devotion to Mary Help of Christians. In 1911 it was declared a mission station, which greatly increased the spiritual development of the district and the city, with its numerous and traditional celebrations, processions, first communions, etc. Devotion to Mary Help of Christians in Paraguay had already begun, in fact, with the arrival of the first four Salesians on 23 July 1896, who founded the "Bishop Lasagna" school, with an adjoining chapel dedicated to the Virgin.
