Spain - The new statue at Tibidabo

Barcelona, Spain - 1961 - A new sculpture dedicated to the Sacred Heart, 7.5 metres high, was inaugurated for the upper part of the Tibidabo Church in Barcelona. The statue, commissioned by the Salesians with sculptor Josep Miret, was modelled on the basis of the original sculpture, cast during the Spanish Civil War.
