(ANS - Vatican City) - On the feast day of St Francis de Sales, Patron Saint of the Catholic press, Pope Francis' Message for the 59th World Communications Day, on the theme: “Share with gentleness the hope that is in your hearts” (cf. 1Pt 3:15-16), was published in the Bulletin of the Holy See Press Office.

(ANS - Rome) - The San Luigi Community in Gorizia, based on Salesian pedagogy, represents a light of hope for unaccompanied foreign minors (MSNA). Located in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, a migratory crossroads, since 2015 it has been offering a welcoming environment for adolescents who have faced difficult journeys: from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Albania and Kosovo. It is not just a refuge, but a place of learning, growth and integration, embodying the educational spirit of Don Bosco. This is the Salesian social reality that ANS presents to its readers today, as we journey together towards the Feast of Don Bosco 2025.

(ANS– Port-au-Prince) – The Saint François de Sales Philosophical Institute in Port-au-Prince organisedCultural Mornings on 9-10 January 2025, in which the students of the Institute, some teachers and few guests participated, due to the difficult situation in the country. The theme chosen was: "Concern for others, a path of hope for an authentic humanization".

(ANS – Rome) – The Sacred Heart of Jesus Salesian community in Rome, which houses the General Council community and the central offices of the Salesian Congregation, is celebrating the Feast of St Francis de Sales, patron saint of the Congregation, with the "internal" opening of the work, almost 3 years after the start of restoration work.

(ANS – Sliema) – The St. Francis de Sales Institute, in Malta, has officially launched its website, marking a significant milestone in its journey to become a leading hub for education, training and research. This important step coincides with two meaningful anniversaries: the feast of St. Francis de Sales and the Institute's establishment, both celebrated on the 24th of January.

(ANS – Vatican City) – There was an unanimous approval regarding the heroic exercise of virtues, the reputation of sanctity, and the signs of the Servant of God Costantino Vendrame (1893-1957), a professed priest of the Society of Saint Francis de Sales and a missionary in India. The positive approval was reached on Thursday, January 23, 2025, during the special Congress of Theological Consultants at the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints.
