(ANS – Vatican City) – In his homily during the Mass for the World Day of the Poor, Pope Francis calls on us to recognise God’s presence in the suffering of the poor and to act with hope and compassion in the face of injustice.

(ANS – Thalavadi) – Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School, located in Thalavadi, in the Erode district of Tamil Nadu, India, has built a multipurpose open hall thanks to donor funding from Salesian Missions, the U.S. development arm of the Salesians of Don Bosco. The new hall is benefiting 567 students and 50 staff members by enhancing the learning environment.

(ANS – Madrid) – In a society increasingly committed to the rights of children, the Salesian Social Platforms launch the campaign "Participar es tu derecho" (Participating is your right)", an initiative that seeks, together with the Spanish Platform for Children, to make visible the importance of the participation of children and young people in decisions that affect their lives. This campaign, promoted ahead of World Children's Day (20 November), emphasises that children's right to participate is fundamental to building an inclusive and democratic future.

(ANS - Madrid) – The Confederal Advisory Council of the Spanish Confederation of the Past Pupils of Don Bosco in Spain, which met on 9 and 10 November at the Casa Don Bosco, and in which the leaders (presidents, SDB delegates, young people and secretaries) of all the Regional Federations and the Confederal Presidency unanimously approved this solidarity initiative.

(ANS – Dili) – The annual Regional Formation Commission (RFC) meeting of East Asia-Oceania (EAO) region took place in Dili, Timor-Leste, a beautiful country poor in material but rich in faith and religious vocation. Delegates from all provinces and delegations of the region participated the meeting facilitated by Fr. Anthony Nguyen, Regional Coordinator for Formation and Fr Jose Kuttianimattathil and Bro. Raymond Callo, who are members of the Formation Sector. The meeting was held over four intensive working days from 9-12 November.

(ANS – Seoul) –On 6 November, Fr Miguel Angel García, the General Councillor for Youth Ministry, in accompanying with Fr Jose Lorbeth Vivo, his team member in Rome, arrived in Korea to preside over the EAO Region’s Youth Ministry Delegates Meeting (8–12 November). During his visit, he took the opportunity to visit various pastoral places, prises the confreres for their dedication, and encourage young people to dream.
