As part of the Extraordinary Visit, the Rector Major Fr Ángel Fernández Artime had drawn up a roadmap to implement the conclusions and follow closely the processes and changes necessary for the COB Province.
In a letter to the Provincial, the Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime wrote: "Without forgetting what the Visitor has left, I want to underline some elements in a roadmap that I ask you to follow carefully to regain the faithfulness, hope and Salesian identity of the province. I will accompany you with a scheduled attendance of visits by General Councillors. The first visit will take place in May and another in October. The Councillors will present minutes on the evaluation of the decisions taken."
In order to evaluate the progress made, Fr González met with the Provincial and his Council and with them he conducted the evaluation of the process of animation and provincial government. Likewise, he had a meeting with Delegates and Coordinators of Provincial Services in order to check on changes in educational and pastoral processes. He also met with the Rectors of the religious communities and Salesian works to check on the animation and government of local communities, as indicated by the Rector Major in the roadmap.
In the last week of May, the COB province will receive the visit of the Councillor for Formation, and in October the Vicar of the Rector Major is scheduled to visit.
Fr González stressed the acceptance and implementation of the roadmap sent by the Rector Major, and called on the Salesian community to continue the process of personal and community conversion and purification motivated by hope and fidelity to the Salesian charism.
