The Salesian Province of St James the Greater is based in Madrid. It has launched Vocations Campaign 2017, with the motto "mivida: #MensajeDirecto". The video prepared for the launch of the campaign tries to answer the question: What would Don Bosco, a saint of the nineteenth century, say to the young people of the twenty-first century?
With Don Bosco's words, spoken by Salesians and educators of the Salesian centres, young people are encouraged to reflect on the meaning of their lives, what they want to be and the objectives they are called to achieve. Young people are challenged to be involved and happy, to believe in themselves and in God. And most importantly, they are challenged to leave a mark on history, their own and that of many others.
For this reason, materials were prepared for accompaniment, group work with children and young people, schemes of prayer and reflection, games, stories, and video-fora, all adapted for different ages. The materials seek to involve the entire educational community, and the resources are made available for the Salesian community, educators and the Salesian Family. This is because "the Vocations Campaign is a comprehensive proposal that wants to continue to promote and strengthen a true culture of vocations in our homes," said the provincial coordinator for Vocations Ministry, Fr Xabier Camino.
