RMG – Re-confirmed Superior of the Province of Poland-Warsaw

(ANS - Rome) - The General Council of the Salesian Congregation, in the framework of its winter 2024-2025 plenary session, has begun to proceed with the appointments of the Superiors of the Salesian Circumscriptions; and in accordance with Article 143 of the Salesian Constitutions, the Vicar of the Rector Major, having heard the opinion of the other members of the General Council, has re-confirmed Fr Tadeusz Jarecki as Superior of the "St Stanislaus Kostka" Province of Poland-Warsaw (PLE).

Fr Jarecki was born on 5 December 1962 in Zwolen, Poland, and did his Salesian novitiate in Czerwinsk in 1982-1983, made his perpetual profession on 10 September 1989 in Rome, and was ordained a priest on 22 June 1991 in Kutno-Wozniaków.

He has served as the Rector of the Theological Studentate in Lódz from 1999 to 2006, and then served for many years, from 2009 to 2019, in the Salesian community in Elk, as Rector and Parish Priest.

For the PLE Province he was the Delegate for Formation between 2003 and 2007 and again between 2010 and 2013, as well as the Vicar and Delegate for the Salesian Family between 2006 and 2007.

He was appointed the Provincial of the PLE province for the first time on 14 December 2018.
