Fr Pierlugi Cameroni, Postulator General for the Causes of Saints of the Salesian Family, presided in the Basilica at the Eucharistic concelebration on Monday 13 November at 6:30 p.m., which, in addition to the participation of numerous faithful, members of the Salesian Family and of the communities of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians of Valdocco, saw gathered around the altar Salesian priests from the various Salesian communities of the Generalate, Provincial House, and Saint Francis of Sales and Mary Help of Christians respectively, in the presence, of course, of their respective confreres.
On the following two evenings, Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th the Postulator General for the Causes of Saints of the Salesian Family presented two talks for all friends and members of the Salesian Family, in the Mary Help of Christians conference room located under the basilica : Tuesday "The great gift of holiness of Artemides Zatti, Salesian brother"; and the following evening, dedicated in particular to health professionals: "Artemides Zatti, good Samaritan for the sick, doctors and nurses". Both evenings were introduced by the screening of the short film: Zatti, fratello nostro and at the end of each evening Fr Cameroni made himself available to illustrate the exhibition on display in the conference room entitled: "Artemides Zatti. Heaven by bicycle".
The two evenings were also enriched by refined musical animation: on the first evening the Basilica choir performed, while on the second evening it was the turn of the young Salesians from the International Institute at the Crocetta, Turin.
From the discussion after the conferences it became clear how widespread was the interest and love for this new Salesian Brother Saint and the desire to make him known and loved more especially in health sectors and infrastructures.
The exhibition dedicated to Zatti will remain on display in the Basilica until 30 November 2023 and is organised into three sections, around the three key words of his life: "I believed, I promised and I recovered".
