The solidarity gifts of Salesians for the Social are marked by cheerfulness and originality (characteristics of each young person), but above all they support concrete projects to prevent and combat forms of educational poverty, social exclusion and marginalization of children and young people. Parchments of different formats, illustrated by Essegì and customizable, also accompanied by decorated little boxes for confetti and many new products that will arrive in the coming months.
Inaugurating the "Solidarity Workshop" is a campaign dedicated to schooling and education, thinking especially of those young people with fewer opportunities. A few days before the first bell rings, "Salesians for the Social" has created its own "School Kit," a gift designed for pre-school children or those attending the first years of elementary school. A box to receive at home with inside: a coloring bag and pencil case, crayons and markers, a package of "Vinavillino Speciale-School" glue, a notebook and the highly original colour-book "Giovannino's Dream" illustrated by Essegì.
Requesting this kit has a double value: with this package full of materials it is possible to wish a good start of the school year to the children closest to you, but also to make a gesture of affection for the most fragile children who are accompanied by the Salesians every day.
"Don Bosco repeatedly told us that 'education is a thing of the heart,' and it is not by chance that we thought of calling this new space 'workshop,' after those craft workshops or ateliers in which our saint initiated his boys into a trade," they say from Via Giacomo Costamagna in Rome, the new headquarters of Salesians for the Social APS.
Here, then, is the reason for a school kit as a gift, to color the school year for all children, no one excluded. As Salesians for Social APS has been doing, for more than 25 years.
