Ensenada, Argentina - September 2016 - In September, the city of Ensenada celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of Mercy, patron of the city and protector of the people, with various initiatives and activities. On 24 September the festivities culminated with a solemn procession through the streets of the city which was attended by religious and civil authorities, Don Bosco Scouts, Girl Scouts of Mary Help of Christians, and young flag bearers of the colleges, and by Salesians and members of the Salesian Family.

Mornese, Italy – 27 September 2016 - The Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, accompanied by his Vicar, Fr Francesco Cereda, and the Provincials who had come for the meeting halfway through their mandate, spent a whole day in Mornese. Led by Sister Piera Ruffinato, FMA, they reflected on the historical and spiritual journey of Maria Domenica Mazzarello, retracing all the important steps that formed her from a human and religious aspect. The visit ended in the place where the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help began on 5 August 1872.

Salmiya, Kuwait - September 2016 - On 12 September the youth group "Salmiya Parish Youth", animated by the Salesian Fr Lionel Braganza performed a musical "Rock Gospel" at the Church of St Teresa of the Child Jesus. The event was attended by 26 groups of choirs, bands, musicians and singers. The songs were performed in different languages - English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tagalog and Polish - and the event recreated in the local context the festive atmosphere and youth spirituality of World Youth Day.
