New Delhi, India – 25 April 2016 – Fr John Parankimalil, SDB, President of the Institute for Salesian Education of Teachers in Tura, was given the 2016 Global Award for Educational Excellence by the organization Prime Time Research Media. The award was in the category Best Headmaster for Training Institute of the State Teachers of Meghalaya. It was presented by Fr Guillermo Basañes, Councillor General for the Missions during his Extraordinary Visit to the Province of Guwahati.

Guwahati, India - April 24, 2016 - Two years ago the Salesian University in Guwahati known as Assam Don Bosco University started a Master’s in Mass Communication Studies to train skilled administrators of Social Media. In the month of May the first 12 students will complete their studies and will be ready to enter as protagonists in the world of information and communication.
