Bratislava, Slovakia - May 2016 - The International Salesian Youth Games (PGSI 2016) began on 4 May with a press conference which saw the participation of various "partners" and the media. Young athletes arrived in Bratislava during the day and were met by their guides in the area called "Valdocco". The opening ceremony of the games took place in the evening.

Genzano, Italy - May 2016 - The Salesian novices from Pinerolo, Genzano and pre-novices from six Italian provinces met at Genzano from 1 to 4 May.  Fr Ivo Coelho, Councillor General for Formation, and the team from the Department of Formation were present and also Fr Francesco Cereda, Vicar of the Rector Major, who presided over the Eucharist on 4 May.  In his homily Fr Cereda reminded the novices of the importance of being disciples and apostles of the Risen Christ as Don Bosco was for young people.

Recife, Brazil - April 2016 - The second meeting of the Provincial Coordinators and Communication Persons of the Salesian parishes in the North East of Brazil took place  on 23 and 24 April. The event, with 19 participants, was led by three members of the provincial communication teams: Fr João Carlos, the delegate, Jakeline Lira and Fr Sergio Costa.
