Argentina - May 2016 - In the past few months four priests have been ordained. For the Northern Province: Fr Federico Salmerón (on 6 March in Tucumán), Fr Marcos López (on 7 March in Salta), and Fr Miguel Bencharsky (on April 16 in Posadas) and for the Southern Province, Fr Diego Carrasco (on 23 April in Buenos Aires).

Benediktbeuern, Germany - April 2016 - On 22 and 23 April in the monastery of Benediktbeuern over 200 benefactors and friends of Salesian work celebrated the 15th anniversary of the founding of Don Bosco Stiftungszentrum, an organization founded in 2001 to promote projects on behalf of children and young people in Salesian houses around the world. Among those present were the Rectors of various Salesian works, project staff, Salesians and also Bishop Stefan Oster SDB, of Passau, who opened the event. Participants were able to get to know each other and learn about some Salesian projects in Germany and abroad. In 2015 the Don Bosco Stiftungszentrum distributed over 1.6 million euro. 

Lubumbashi, D. R. Congo - May 2016 - The 43rd Salesian Games ended on 1 May with the final contests in all the various sports.

Messina, Italy - April 2016 - The third session of the Chapter of the Salesian Province of Sicily ended on April 2016. There were 52 chapter members and 13 invited guests. They discussed the situation and prospects of the 21 works of Sicily and Tunisia. "This is not about doing more things or doing different things than in the past, but about demonstrating to the world that we are consecrated entirely to God and to the young, like Don Bosco," said the Provincial, Fr Giuseppe Ruta.
