Belarus - October 2017 – From 27 September to 6 October, the Superior General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, Mother Yvonne Reungoat, visted Belarus and Russia, Vice Province of East Europe and Georgia, for the first time. At the airport, she was welcomed by Salesian bishop Msgr. Alexander Yasheusky, Sr. Gabriela Rohde, the Salesian Delegate Fr Viktor Haidukevich, and local FMAs. They then went to the Salesian community in Baravlan, and the parish of Mary Help of Christians where the FMA perform their mission; here, the Eucharistic celebration was presided by Mgr. Yasheusky, a commemoration of the 25 years of FMA presence in Belarus. On September 30, Mother Yvonne visited both the FMA and Salesian community in Minsk, met with representatives of the Salesian Family and animators. On October 1, Mother Reungoat met the Apostolic Nuncio of Belarus, Mgr. Gábor Pintér, and participated in the Eucharist presided by Cardinal Jozef De Kesel of Belgium, present for the plenary meeting of the Bishops of Europe. Mother Reungoat continued her animation visit to Russia, met with the FMA communities of "S. Maria D. Mazzarello" and "Mary Help of Christians", members of the Council of the Vice Province, of the Salesian Family, a number of ecclesiastical authorities and young locals.
