Spain – Start of the Digitization Project of the Spanish Salesian Bulletin
Madrid, Spain - May 2017 – At a meeting on 19 April, the Provincial Councillors of the Provinces of St James the Greater in Madrid and Mary Help of Christians in Seville approved the digitization of over 30,000 pages of the Salesian Bulletin of Spain from 1886 to the present. Bound copies of the Salesian Bulletin exist, but today computer science allows fast and secure access to whatever content one may wish to consult. This requires a process to transform a written text into digital form so as to create a digital archive, and then to install a search engine for consultations. It is a highly innovative project.
