Colombia - Fr René Santos, SDB, new coordinator for the Salesian Schools of America
Copacabana, Colombia - May 2017 - During the 4th Continental Meeting of the Salesian School in America (ESA IV), Fr René Antonio Santos, SDB, was officially appointed as the new coordinator for the Salesian Schools of America. His role is to accompany the situation in the continent with formation courses of reflection and study on the issues of evangelization and education that concern the school. Fr Santos will have the task of bringing continuity to the projects of Fr Miguel Ángel García, who preceded him in the job. What's new is that, though the assignment is part of the Office for Schools and Professional Formation Centres in the Youth Ministry Department, Fr Santos will be based in Central America. Fr Fabio Attard, Councillor General for Youth Ministry, asked the Regional Councillors for Inter-America and the American Southern Cone to appoint Fr Santos, with the approval of his Provincial.
