India – Don Bosco Youth Centre Pannur Hosts Its First Football Tournament
Tiruvallur, India – April 2025- The newly opened Don Bosco Youth Centre in Pannur marked a major milestone in its youth empowerment mission by hosting its first football tournament on April 12–13.
The Pannur field transformed into a vibrant arena of energy, sportsmanship, and celebration, with 22 teams from across Tamil Nadu competing. Over 1,000 enthusiastic young people—including players, coaches, fans, and supporters—attended the event. More than just a sporting occasion, it was a platform to foster leadership, discipline, and unity, embodying the true spirit of Don Bosco.
The closing ceremony was a proud moment, attended by alumni, teachers, retired educators, community leaders, and supporters of the Centre.
Their presence highlighted a deep sense of community and shared commitment to Don Bosco’s vision of creating a safe and inspiring environment for youth.
This tournament stands as a testament to the Centre’s mission: offering opportunities for holistic youth development through activities that promote teamwork, resilience, and personal growth.
