India - New Central School (ICSE) building at DB IJK: a testimony of the past, a promise for the future
Irinjalakuda, India - January 2025 - The opening and blessing of the new Central School building at Don Bosco, Irinjalakuda, Kerala, took place on Friday 24 January. This marks a significant milestone in the institution's mission to provide quality education and holistic development for students. The Honourable Minister of Higher Education and Social Justice, Government of Kerala, Dr R. Bindu, opened the facility and Bishop Pauly Kannookkadan, Bishop of Irinjalakuda, blessed it. Numerous distinguished guests, including Fr Jose Koyickal, Superior of the Sacred Heart Province of Bangalore (INK), Ms Marykutty Joy, Municipal President of Irinjalakuda, Fr Shalbin Kalanchery, Vice-Provincial, Fr Joy Neduparambil, Provincial Economer, and former Rectors, Principals, School Administrators and Salesians from neighbouring institutions graced the occasion. During her address, Dr R. Bindu congratulated the Salesian community for their outstanding service to the youth of the region. She emphasised the institute's legacy in cultivating remarkable talents in various fields, including politics, film, administration, entrepreneurship, medicine and sports. He also noted that the new building is a testament to past successes and a promise of even greater success in the future.
