Bolivia – A Visit that Reaffirms the Commitment to Evangelize in a Digital World

Bolivia – October 2024 –Fr. Ricardo Campoli, a communicator, director and member of the World Communication Department, during his visit to Bolivia on behalf of the General Councillor for Social Communication, Fr. Gildasio Mendes said: “Networking ensures that our evangelization goes further and has more depth”. His visit, aimed at getting to know the communication team working in Salesian institutions and the development of Salesian communication in various regions, took place in two stages. The first at Santa Cruz, with a meeting with the Salesian community of Portachuelo and the accompaniment of the Social Communication Delegate for the Bolivia Province (BOL), Fr. Miguel Córdova. Additionally, Fr. Campoli visited Radio and Television “Ichilo” in the municipality of Yapacaní, one of the seven Bolivian radios of the ARTESBOL network (Association of Salesian Educational Radio and Television of Bolivia). Besides its massive reach as a means of communication, it stands out for its Salesian charisma and identity as “communicators of faith and hope.” The second stage took place at the Provincial Headquarters in the city of Cochabamba, where he met communicators from the works of La Paz and Sucre, coming from various Salesian sectors and environments. “I must say that I conclude this visit with great hope and joy after having met the different realities of Bolivia,” said Fr. Campoli, who shared various guidelines for building more assertive, creative, human, and evangelizing communication.
