Portugal – The Salesians in Estoril successfully close the school year by staging engaging performances
Estoril, Portugal – June 2024 – To celebrate the end of the school year, at the end of June, students from Estoril's Accademia del Palco and Musicentro staged lively and engaging performances at the city's Senhora da Boa Nova Auditorium. The first musical was created on 23 June by the young people of the Accademia del Palco, a group of shows, theatre and dance coordinated by the Salesians in Estoril, who for the occasion tried their hand at staging the famous Wizard of Oz. 170 young artists brought this literary classic to the stage, bringing to life the unforgettable characters of Dorothy, the Toto puppy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Lion. A few days later, on 25 June, it was the turn of the Musicentro, which presented a selection of their repertoire to the public, exciting all those present. The Director of the centre, Paulo Muiños, was also enthusiastic, stating how significant it is to witness the growth of students and see the emergence of new talents up close.
