Poland – Over two hundred young people at the altar servers pilgrimage for the Province of Wrocław

09 May 2024

Twardogóra, Poland – May 2024 - Every year, in May, a meeting of the Liturgical Service of the Salesian Province of Wrocław Poland (PLO) is held, called the Provincial Altar Servers Pilgrimage (PiM in Polish). The event has been taking place for 43 years in the spiritual heart of the Province, at the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians in Twardogóra. Over 200 young people from Greater Poland, Lower Silesia and Silesia experienced four days of fun and human growth, establishing healthy relationships and playing various sports and skill games in an atmosphere of fair play. During the pilgrimage there was no lack of spiritual formation and the Liturgical Service participated every day in the solemn Eucharist. "The show in the sanctuary was extraordinary, because each altar boy was dressed in liturgical vestments. Such an image is rare today; but it is even more pleasing that there are still young people who, in addition to sports competition, seek spiritual reflection", said the PLO Salesians. And this beauty was also experienced by the inhabitants of Twardogóra, seeing the altar servers in their streets during the pilgrimage of the March of Joy to the Shrine of the Help of Christians. In addition to sports and spirituality, young people met at evenings of integration and music.
