Honduras – The San Juan Bosco Vocational Training Centre celebrates its 39th anniversary
Tegucigalpa, Honduras – April 2024 – The San Juan Bosco Vocational Training Centre celebrates its 39th anniversary. Founded almost four decades ago by Fr Guerrino Giacomel, SDB, who, following Don Bosco's ideals, dedicated his commitment and passion to helping Honduran youth, the centre has left an indelible mark on the country's technical training. Under the current leadership of Salesian Brother Oscar Pereira and his team of collaborators, Fr Giacomel's legacy has evolved and prospered, expanding its reach over the years to serve a growing number of young people. The VET offers a wide range of technical areas, including styling, barbering, graphic design, electrical and photovoltaic systems, automotive mechanics, motorcycle mechanics, baking and pastry, refrigeration and air conditioning, and computer systems support. In addition, distance learning opportunities are provided and partnerships are established with international organisations to support young graduates on their path to a promising future.
