Russia – Course for Salesian animators concludes in Gatchina
Gatchina, Russia – April 2024 - An animator course was organised in Gatchina from February to April 2024. Traditionally, the course consists of three monthly sessions. The third meeting was organised in the country house of the Society of the Divine Word and lasted two days. There were 27 people who took part in the course in person and online: 21 current and 6 new animators who want to try their hand at this role from this year. All participants in the course for animators attended the oratory as children and now wish to continue doing so as animators. In these days, the animators have reflected on Don Bosco's childhood dream, experienced formative moments, examined and reflected on a historical document of Don Bosco and analysed some basic elements to successfully carry out the role of animator and more effectively implement Don Bosco's educational system. In addition, there were many activities to support the unity of the animators: team games, quizzes, workshops and dialogue. Most of the participants in the course plan to take part in recreational activities for children, which will be organised in July 2024.
