Hungary – Salesian Family Day
Péliföldszentkereszt, Hungary – April 2024 - Representatives of the Salesian Family met in Péliföldszentkereszt, at the first Salesian house in the country on 6 April after the annual retreat week of the Salesian St Stephen of Hungary (UNG), . The meeting brought together all the members of the Salesian Family in Hungary - including the Salesians of Don Bosco, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, the Salesian Cooperators and the Past Pupils of Don Bosco – for a day of unity and company. The event began with the solemn concelebration of Holy Mass, presided over by Fr János Andrásfalvy, Superior of the UNG Province. After Holy Mass, the Provincial greeted the participants and provided a brief overview of recent and future provincial events. Subsequently, the participants sat around tables arranged outdoors, enjoying the pleasant spring weather after the winter, to share their experiences and aspirations. Through these interactions, a collective vision of the Salesian dream emerged, enriched by numerous stimulating anecdotes that show the manifestation of God's work through the Salesian charism. In a culminating plenary session, representatives from each branch of the Salesian Family articulated their reflections on this shared Salesian vision.
