Cameroon - Over 550 young people gathered for a weekend of spirituality at the Theologate of St. Augustine
Yaoundé in March 2024. The ninth edition of this event commenced on March 9th, drawing participants from various parts of the city. Following the opening ceremony, the program included the Way of the Cross, a communal meal, and a reflective session centered on the theme "The Dream That Makes You Dream." Fr. André Ela, Vicar of the Equatorial Tropical Africa (ATE) Vice Province, emphasized Don Bosco's vocational journey and the importance of his preventive system as a divine educational method. He underscored the role of the Virgin Mary in pastoral action in preventing violence. Fr. Ela also highlighted essential elements for realizing dreams, including trust in God, obedience, determination, humility, and prayer. The 9-year-old dream, he emphasized, is not just Don Bosco's dream but also a divine aspiration for young people. The day concluded with worship, confession, and attentive listening.
