South Korea - Lenten Vigil of Youth: "Stay Awake with Me!"
Seoul, South Korea - March 10, 2024 - Over 50 young people, both girls and boys, hailing from various regions of the country, convened at the Provincial House of the Salesians of South Korea (KOR) for a Lenten vigil themed "Stay Awake with Me!". This retreat was initiated upon the request of a group from the Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) and meticulously planned by the Commission for Salesian Youth Ministry in collaboration with the FMA, resulting in a tailored program. The gathering commenced with a brief orientation on Saturday evening in the spacious chapel on the seventh floor of the Provincial House. Subsequently, Fr. Lee Bosco Jeongun delivered a lecture titled "What Does Suffering Mean to Us?", prompting contemplation. Participants then engaged in individual reflection during a moment of silence following the Word and a brief commentary. The Way of the Cross, organized and guided by Fr. Seong Dominic Hayoon, was followed by a prayer session in the Taizé style.
