Dominican Republic - Joint formation of the Salesian Family
Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic - October 2016 -The Joint Formation Programme (PROFOCO) of the Salesian Family of the Antilles (ANT) had its first workshop "Growth through communication" on 22 and 23 October. The programme consists of five modules or dimensions: human, family, professional and apostolic, spiritual and vocational. The first module was led by Fr José Pastor Ramírez, founder and coordinator of PROFOCO, along with an interdisciplinary team of the Salesian Family. It was attended by 44 management teams and a total of 179 people. PROFOCO offers training to teachers, parents and auxiliary staff in schools, oratories, youth centres, social works and parishes; and to consecrated SDB and FMA members of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Cuba.
