San Salvador, El Salvador - March 2023 - After more than a month of preparation, and on the threshold of the start of Holy Week, a cast of actors consisting of more than 50 students from Ricaldone Technical Institute in San Salvador staged the Stations of the Cross. The performance lasted an hour and a half and was presented on two occasions, with a total attendance of more than 1,500 families. Fr. Daniel García, head of Pastoral Care, invited those present to prepare to accompany Jesus crucified and to live Holy Week with faith. "More than attracting us as a spectacle, this performance should call us to meditation and conversion, and to prepare our hearts to accompany Jesus along the way of the cross," he said. On stage, the actors presented the Way of the Cross, mixing it with current situations and contexts, and leaving ample space for the figure of Mary, an example of the love of a mother who accompanies her son until his very last breath.
