India - Past Pupils of Alaknanda produce live broadcast on Facebook to report on COVID-19
New Delhi, India - July 2020 - The Don Bosco Past Pupils Association of Alaknanda organized a live event on Facebook with Dr. Sai Kiran Chaudhuri, one of the leading pulmonologists who heads the pneumology department of the Delhi Heart and Lung Institute. Dr. Chaudhuri spoke on various aspects of COVID-19: precautions, symptoms, tests, roles of the various drugs, prevention and post-discharge management of the patient. Considerable time was spent on answering questions from the audience. At the end of the program, which recorded 1,700 views, the Past Pupils' activities in the last 10 months were presented: a food program for poor children, with the distribution of 2,500 meals; a campaign for blood donation; free tests for thalassemia; free eye exams; and the distribution of 100 personal protection kits.
