India – Salesian support in time of Covid-19 changes lives of widows and disabled
Mumbai, India - June 2020 - The "Don Bosco Development Society" (DBDS), in collaboration with the Salesian Mission Office "Don Bosco Mission" of Bonn, Germany, in one of its charitable expeditions has helped over 930 widows and disabled people residing in the slums of Kurla – Ghatkopar by distributing rescue kits containing long-term food rations and hygiene items. Since April 2020, the DBDS has directly affected the lives of more than 130,000 poor and needy people, providing for their primary needs during this pandemic.
