Salesian Pontifical University: historical notes
Between 1913 and 1914, the first Salesian Theological Studentates were established. In 1920, Blessed Filippo Rinaldi moved the Studentate to Turin.
On May 2, 1936, Fr Pietro Ricaldone decided to set up a Faculty of Theology managed by the Salesian Congregation. In 1936 he exposed this project to Pope Pius XI, who encouraged him.
On May 3, 1940, the Salesian Pontifical University was erected in Turin under the guidance of Fr Ricaldone, who was the first Grand Chancellor.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus was already practiced in the Middle Ages.
Between 1673 and 1675 Jesus appeared to Marguerite-Marie Alacoque, a French nun of the order of the Visitation (order founded by Saint Francis de Sales).
Jesus asked Marguerite-Marie Alacoque that the Friday after the octave of Corpus Domini be dedicated to a particular feast day to honor his Heart.
The ancient bells of the Basilica of Maria Ausiliatrice
On May 21, 1868, the first bells of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Turin were blessed.
The largest has a weight of 870 kilograms, the second 750 and the smallest 250.
A look at the Don Bosco Green Alliance
The Laudato Sì Week takes place until May 24; it celebrates the 5th anniversary of the Encyclical Laudato Sì.
