Pope Francis' 45th Apostolic Journey began on 2 September, taking him to Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Singapore. The Journey, which will end on 13 September, is the longest of his pontificate.

On the occasion of this historic trip, the Holy See Press Office released some statistical data relating to the situation of the Catholic Church in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and Singapore.
