Distribution of Salesians in their respective Regions

According to Statistics updated to December 31, 2021, there are 13,488 professed Salesians, 422 novices and 118 Salesian Bishops, for a total of 14,028.

Looking at the distribution in the individual Regions, it emerges that the Salesians are divided as follows:

Africa-Madagascar: 1,841 professed, 191 novices;
America South Cone: 1,123 professed, 29 novices;
Interamerica: 1,508 professed, 26 novices;
East Asia-Oceania: 1,425 professed, 51 novices;
South Asia: 2,836 professed, 102 novices;
Central and North Europe: 2,060 professed, 13 novices;
Mediterranean: 2,503 professed, 10 novices.
