Ubeda, Spain - April 2016 - On 17 April, over 900 people participated in the first Boscocarrera Solidaria organized by the Salesian College of Santo Domingo Savio in Ubeda. All proceeds were earmarked for the project "Help the Syrian people accommodated in the Salesian centres in Aleppo, Damascus and Kafroun," as well as the campaign "Let us unite for Children's Rights" run by the NGO Solidaridad Don Bosco.

Richmond, United States - April 2016 – On Friday 15 April some students from the Salesian College Preparatory in Richmond engaged in social activities for the benefit of the local community. They sang Salesian songs as they worked side by side with other young people in the neighbourhood, weeding the yard of a kindergarten and repainting some of the buildings. 

Manique, Portugal - April 2016 - About 1,500 young athletes from Salesian Houses and those of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Portugal and Cape Verde attended the 23rd Salesian National Games, competing in basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis , swimming, chess and five-a-side football.

Cologne, Germany - April 24, 2016 - The Salesian community in Cologne, in addition to the Parish, Oratory and Youth Centre, a few months took on responsibility for the Italian Mission, entrusted to three Salesians from the Polish Province of Krakow (PLS). On 24 April Bishop Enrico dal Covolo, SDB, Rector of the Pontifical Lateran University, confirmed 31 young people from the Mission, at the beginning of the month dedicated to Mary Help of Christians.

New Delhi, India – 25 April 2016 – Fr John Parankimalil, SDB, President of the Institute for Salesian Education of Teachers in Tura, was given the 2016 Global Award for Educational Excellence by the organization Prime Time Research Media. The award was in the category Best Headmaster for Training Institute of the State Teachers of Meghalaya. It was presented by Fr Guillermo Basañes, Councillor General for the Missions during his Extraordinary Visit to the Province of Guwahati.

The meeting represents a new departure in synergy: "Mission Offices, challenges to effective communication in the new contexts of communication."
