Parañaque, Philippines - May 2016 - On 14 May Bishop Mylo Hubert Vergara of the Diocese of Pasig celebrated the Priestly Ordination of Donnie Duchin Duya, a Salesian of the Northern Province of the Philippines.

Tokyo, Japan - May 2016 - On 7 and 8 May, 40 young people close to the Salesian Family made a pilgrimage on the theme "With Jesus! We walk with Jesus!" The event, organized by the Salesian Youth Movement, started at the Salesian Seminary in Chofu and ended at the Salesian church "Himon-ya" Meguro, where the parish priest, Fr Loro Piana, and the Provincial, Fr Mario Yamanouchi, joined the pilgrims in prayer and reflection.

Bethlehem, Palestine - May 2016 - On 7 May, 91 students from the Salesian Technical School in Bethlehem received their diplomas in the presence of friends, parents and relatives, and members of VIS (International Voluntary Service for Development). The ceremony was chaired by the Rector of the school, Fr Daniel Basali, SDB, who had accompanied the students throughout their time in the school right up to graduation, sharing with them the burden and pain of living in Palestine at a time of war, intifada, death and arrests. Founded 123 years ago by Fr Antonio Belloni, SDB, and officially recognized 50 years ago by the Palestinian Authority, the Salesian Technical School in Bethlehem celebrates the graduation of its students every year.

Ayagualo, El Salvador - May 2016 - From 30 April to 1 May, 90 Salesian Cooperators of El Salvador made their annual Retreat on the theme of the Strenna of the Rector Major for 2016.

Mumbai, India - May 2016 - The Don Bosco Recreation Centre and Don Bosco High School, Matunga, Mumbai, organized two summer camps from  12-29 April and 2 - 18 May. About 1600 children and young people took part to develop their sporting and artistic skills.

Mexico, Mexico - May 5, 2016 - The Salesian Family of Mexico South gathered in the Basilica of the Virgin of Tepeyac to implore her help.  The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Bishop Luis Felipe Gallardo Martin del Campo, SDB, bishop of Veracruz, and concelebrated by Fr Gabino Hernández Paleta, Provincial of Mexico City (MEM).
