Manchester, UK – May 2024 - On 3 May Salesian schools across the UK gathered in Trafford for the annual inter-Salesian athletics. Each school brought a selection of male and female students to compete in competitions in various forms of athletics: 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 100m hurdles, 4 x 100m relay, long jump, triple jump, discus, javelin, shot put and high jump. Each group was able to take part in each activity and the first three of each race received their medals. Prizes were awarded to the best group in each year and to the absolute best in both the men's and women's competition. The day, spent in Salesian spirit, was a complete success, with great sportsmanship and friendship on the part of all participants in the event.

Cochabamba, Bolivia – May 2024 - Representatives of the Salesian Educational Radio and Television Association of Bolivia (ARTESBOL in Spanish) have joined forces to reinvent themselves in the digital age. On Saturday, 4 May, the headquarters of the Salesian Province of Bolivia (BOL) was the meeting point for many challenges posed to Salesian radio stations that seek to innovate with new narratives for their listeners. The main objective of this meeting of radio broadcasters and Salesian radio enthusiasts is to learn practical tools to produce and produce journalistic and entertainment materials, with knowledge of the context and in an ethical, critical, creative and responsible way. "We have the challenge of communicating from the heart," said Fr Miguel Córdova, Provincial Delegate for Social Communication, who seeks to strengthen the training of the human and technical team of radio in Bolivia.

Panama City, Panama - May 2024 – As part of the Extraordinary Visitation to the Province of Central America (CAM), conducted on behalf of the Rector Major, Fr Walter Jara visited the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Panama City from 6-8 May. Fr Jara had the opportunity to address the educational community during the "Good morning" greeting, where he was able to share his motivating message that was received by all those present with great joy. During the school visit, Fr Jara was accompanied by the principal, Fr José Manuel Solano, and had the opportunity to interact with students from various educational levels, teachers and members of the coordination team. He was pleasantly impressed by the innovation and transformation project that the school has been carrying out for some years, with the new classrooms and spaces, equipment installed in the workshops and the students' skills in its management, which positions the institute as the best educational offer in the technical area in Panama. From classrooms to recreational spaces, the Visitor was able to appreciate the dynamic learning environment and community spirit that characterises the Salesian institution.

Tarlac City, Philippines – May 2024 – The first Formation Meeting at the  East Asia-Oceania Regional level for Salesians in their Quinquennium was held from 6-10 May. The event, held at the picturesque Westwood Farm in Tarlac City was led by Fr Francis Moloney, SDB, from Australia. Designed as a fertile ground for Salesians in the first five years of ongoing formation, the Quinquenniun Formative Meeting, hosted by the Province of the Northern Philippines (FIN), brought together a group of 27 participants from the Provinces of the Northern Philippines, Southern Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and the Vice-Province of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. During the seminar, Fr Moloney, SDB, won hearts and minds with his life example and spiritual guidance. Each day took place based on a specific topic ranging from evangelical consecration to the exploration of Jesus as the icon par excellence of the Salesian charism and the profound meaning of the Eucharistic priesthood. The journey culminated in a deep exploration of the Gospel of St Mark, offering participants new insights and a complete framework for understanding and living the Word of God. What really set this meeting apart was its emphasis on common sharing and fraternal bonding. Participants also had the opportunity to make a cultural visit to the city of Tarlac.

RMG – 13 May 2024 - In a few days time, on 15 May, the Novena to Mary Help of Christians will begin, accompanying many consecrated and lay people in the Salesian Family on their spiritual journey to the Feast of Mary Help of Christians, a celebration so dear to Don Bosco. From 14 May, the videos of the World Novena will be available on the different TELEGRAM CHANNEL SDB.ORG language channels and on the TELEGRAM CHANNEL SDB.ORG and will be uploaded day by day until the eve of the feast. In addition, the booklets are already available in five languages: ItalianEnglishSpanishFrench and Portuguese.

(ANS – Wroclaw) - On May 6, 2024,  the Radio group of the Salesian High School in Wrocław, under the guidance of Fr Jerzy Babiak and the youth made their 350th broadcast entitled Trudne Sprawy on the Catholic Radio Rodzinna, Wroclaw. The first episode was broadcasted in 2005. From the very beginning, the program touched upon topics related to the problems of individual people, states and the Church. It is open to listeners, where they can call at any time.  Every episode  includes an expert, a street poll and an introduction to the topic. It is broadcasted  three times, and can be listened to on the Trudne Sprawy podcast on Spotify.
