(ANS - Guatemala) – An old book on Salesian Brothers called them "The lay hands of Don Bosco". They were a brilliant idea of Don Bosco who used to say to them: "You will be able to do good in places where the Salesian priests cannot go.” Don Bosco understood that vocational training was not only about teaching young people skills, but also a place for education in values.

(ANS - Tahta) - In the heart of Upper Egypt, more precisely in Tahta, the Christian community has had an opportunity to meet Don Bosco again. Upper Egypt has high levels of economic and social hardship, and a climate of resignation.

(ANS - Cebu) In 2010, the Salesians of Don Bosco in the Southern Province of the Philippines took an important decision to start a "new frontier” work - a reintegration programme for children in conflict with the law. It is called Magone Home Aftercare Program. Although this was a new approach, the work is not entirely new to the Salesians, who had already been dealing with boys and young prisoners for more than thirty years. The Magone Home Aftercare Program is located in the Don Bosco Boys’ Home and the Training Centre in Cebu.
