This special prayer service was initiated by the Youth Ministry of Rome of the Salesian Youth Movement, with the valuable support of the FMA Rome, who provided the Zoom platform to host the online Prayer service. The Salesian Youth Movement of South Asia led everyone through the guided Rosary service. The gathering reflected the global Salesian family’s deep love for the Holy Father and their unwavering commitment to prayer.
The Rosary focused on the Glorious Mysteries, with prayers recited in multiple languages, including English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Hindi, symbolizing the universal nature of the Church. Each mystery was led by different young representatives from all across the world, fostering a spirit of togetherness and devotion.
The service began with the welcoming words by Fr. Joebeth, followed by the opening prayer, invoking God’s healing power over Pope Francis, followed by the hymn No Man Can Live as an Island. The participants then prayed the Rosary, entrusting the Pope’s health to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The service concluded with a closing prayer for Pope Francis, the traditional Hail, Holy Queen, and a final blessing by Fr. Patrick.
This initiative highlights the role of young people in the Church, demonstrating their faith in action. It was not just a moment of prayer but also a testimony of the Salesian Youth Movement’s deep-rooted commitment to supporting the Church and its leaders.
As Pope Francis continues to recover, the Salesian youth remain united in prayer, trusting in God’s divine plan and the powerful intercession of Mary Help of Christians.
