Italy – Salesian Youth Sports Associations Re-Elect Ciro Bisogno as President
Riccione, Italy – February 2025 – Ciro Bisogno has been re-elected as President of the Salesian Youth Sports Associations (Polisportive Giovanili Salesiane - PGS) for the 2025-2028 term. His reappointment took place during the organization’s Ordinary Elective Assembly, held at Hotel Corallo in Riccione. Reflecting on the assembly, Bisogno stated:“It was a highly engaging and meaningful National Assembly. The presence of so many representatives from the sports world, including the President of the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV), Giuseppe Manfredi, demonstrates the PGS’s commitment to collaborating with all sports organizations in the best interest of sports and young people.” Youth remain at the core of the PGS’s new cultural initiative, which was presented during a conference preceding the assembly. This initiative outlines the fundamental mission of the organization, drawing inspiration from Don Bosco’s Preventive System and the rich Salesian educational tradition. "A major plan to revitalize sports activities will help us be even more present in communities, in marginalized areas, and in addressing educational poverty. In our small way, we want to contribute to the social cohesion of our country. With nearly 60 years of history and a strong identity, our mission remains more relevant than ever,” concluded Bisogno.
