(ANS – Lima) – Once Msgr. José Ramón Gurruchaga Ezama, after reaching fifty years of priesthood, in the presence of a large audience of bishops, priests and faithful, said: “When we grow old, we somehow go back to childhood, and I am already slightly beginning to realize this. Now I feel more like a child, I feel smaller; and because of this, in response to the love you expressed to me, I have nothing else to say but what I used to say as a child: ‘Eskerrik Asko!’ – i.e., in Basque language – ‘A thousand thanks to each one of you’”. After a long illness, yesterday, April 11th, Msgr. Gurruchaga Ezama went to the House of the Father.
