(ANS - Rome) – In order to offer the best possible service in transmitting the footage of Salesian Mission Day 2017 to all the continents, the Departments of the Missions and Social Communication, in collaboration with "Missioni Don Bosco" in Turin, have developed a new mode of distribution.
(ANS - Caracas) - Venezuela has been going through a very difficult political and social situation in recent times. Pope Francis recently said, referring to Venezuela: "I pray for this people, who are very dear to me, and I urge everyone to persevere without growing tired, avoiding any violence and seeking political solutions." On 19 April, peaceful demonstrations took place in the country to deliver to the 'Defensoría del Pueblo', the state agency that oversees human rights, a document accusing the government of President Nicolás Maduro of a coup d'état against the National Assembly. On the margins of the events, two Salesian past pupils were killed.
(ANS – Iringa) – After the Holy Mass at Don Bosco Mafinga Parish with the students of the seminary and the parishioners, on Thursday, April 20, the Rector Major and his team proceeded to Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre, Iringa. There he had a chance to meet with the youth and he told them, “you give me hope for the future”.

RMG – Don Bosco: “The Fascinating Saint”
(ANS - Rome) - Don Bosco is perhaps the most amazing and fascinating saint, history has ever produced. The humble work which he began for the welfare of his poor and abandoned boys in Italy has produced astonishing results, and today there are nearly 14000 Salesians working in 138 countries, and there are more than 200,000 members belonging to the 32 groups of the worldwide Salesian Family sharing the charism of Don Bosco and reaching out to the needy young people.

Argentina – UNISAL Participates in the International Forum “Territories of the Future: South Atlantic and Antarctica”
(ANS – Río Grande) – From February 19 to 21, the cities of Río Grande, Tolhuin, and Ushuaia hosted the International Forum “Territories of the Future: South Atlantic and Antarctica”, organized by the University Network for the Care of the Common Home (RUC) and the Municipality of Río Grande, with support from the National University of Tierra del Fuego (UNTDF). The event brought together universities from Argentina, Latin America, and the Caribbean to discuss sustainability and conservation in these regions, with the Salesian University of Argentina (UNISAL) playing an important role.

United States – International Women's Day: Salesian Missions highlights educational programs that empower women and girls

This assembly, the most important one that the Congregation can experience, occurs every six years along the Salesian Congregation’s journey.
