Chile – The Salesian Industrial School in Copiapó recognised nationally for its excellence in technical certification
Vitacura, Chile – January 2025 - The Salesian Industrial Christ the Redeemer school in Copiapó was recognised nationally by the Alianza CCM-Eleva, during the first CCM-Eleva Sunset Awards 2025, held at the Fundación Chile, on 8 January. The event, which brings together leaders from the education and business sectors, highlighted the main advances in technical and vocational training and celebrated the incorporation of new strategic allies. The Salesian Industrial School in Copiapó has established itself as the first educational institution in the country to simultaneously certify all its technical specialities under the Quality Seal of the Mining Skills Council (CCM). The certified specialties, Electronics, Electricity and Automotive Mechanics, directly benefit more than 400 third and fourth year students, ensuring that their training meets the highest standards of quality and relevance to the current needs of the mining and technical industry. During the ceremony, Natalia Morales, director of the Mining Skills Council, and Vladimir Glasinovic, director of the Eleva Programme, highlighted the impact of this result as an example of effective collaboration between education and industry. Michael Orellana, Principal of Christ the Redeemer, appreciated this recognition. "This result reflects the effort and commitment of our educational community, our Salesian mission and the conviction to form good Christians and upright citizens who contribute to the development of our region. Being pioneers in this process fills us with pride and strengthens our resolve to lead technical and professional training in Atacama and Chile".
