Cameroon - Feast of Don Bosco and 25th anniversary of Salesian Vice-Province ATE
Yaoundé, Cameroon - January 2023 - On January 31, the Salesians of Don Bosco of the Equatorial Tropical Africa (ATE) VP celebrated the Feast of St. John Bosco and the 25th Anniversary of the Vice-Province. The day began with the blessing of a new monument for the 25th anniversary of the ATE VP and the display of the flags of the five countries that make up the ATE: Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic, and Chad. The ceremony was presided over by the Councilor for the Africa-Madagascar Region, Fr Alphonse Owoudou, and the Superior of the ATE VP, Fr Roland Mintsa. The Eucharistic celebration was celebrated by the Archbishop of Yaoundé, Msgr. Jean Mbarga, in the presence of Msgr. Miguel Angel Nguema Bee, SDB, Bishop of Ebibeyin, former ATE Superior (2015-2017). The day concluded the musical animations by the Theology students and pre-novices.
