Goma, D.R. Congo - January 2023 - On January 28, the Salesian work "Don Bosco Ngangi," of the AFC-EST Delegation, celebrated St. John Bosco with the participation of 3,500 people who have been refugees in the work's courtyards since November 2022 due to the war in the eastern part of the country. The Mass was presided over by the Director, Fr Jean-Pierre Muhima. The Salesians for the occasion organized - in collaboration with the NGO "International Volunteers for Development" (VIS) - the distribution of basic necessities to the refugees, including rice from "Salesian Missions," the Salesian Mission Office of New Rochelle, United States. On January 31, "Don Bosco Ngangi" celebrated the Feast of Don Bosco with young people, their educators and Salesians. After the Eucharist, the participants experienced various recreational activities and games and shared fraternal agape.
